February 2025 Award:
£175 to Marple Autisk Group
On Saturday 8 March the Marple Carnival 50 50 Community Fund donated £175 to the Marple Autisk Group, who meet on a monthly basis at Marple Con & Social Club, providing great support and fun things to do, for autistic children and those with special educational needs (SEND). It's very family orientated and a great asset to our community.
We're able to do this because of your continued support, and we thank you for it.
Please tell your friends and neighbours about the 50-50 club, for the more people we can get to join, means the greater the monthly prize money, and (probably more important) the more we can donate to local community groups who make the Marple area a great place to live.

The 50/50 Community Fund is a non profit scheme organised and run by Marple Carnival.
It’s a fun way of having a little flutter whilst supporting many groups in your local community.
Here's how it works..
You pay £5 per month subscription, which buys you a member number that enters you into the monthly draw.
50% of all subscriptions goes into the monthly draw.
*Based on 100 members each paying £5/month, the monthly prizes would be:
1st Prize £125 - 2nd Prize £75 - 3rd Prize £50
The remaining 50% of the fund will be donated to varying local good causes within Marple, Marple Bridge, Compstall, and Mellor.

February 2025 Winners!
Prizes totalling £160 were won in the latest 50 50 club prize draw.
Numbers were drawn by Caroline Dadd as she was enjoying her lunch at the Dig Inn.
- 1st prize was £80.00, won by Julian Revington.
- 2nd prize was £48.00, won by Pat King, who kindly donated her prize to the Community Fund.
- 3rd prize was £32.00, won by David Hoyle.
January 2025 Awards
Community Fund Awards totalling £435 were made in January:
Marple Carnival 50 50 Community Fund were proud to award donations of £145 each to 3 more local groups.
The pictures below show Community Fund organiser Kevin Murray presenting the donations to The Garden House, which will help them to operate this great community asset. To Marple Dementia Drop-In, who meet every Friday in Marple Sports Club to support local families impacted by dementia, and to Friends of Chadkirk Chapel, who do a fantastic job. A visit to this beautiful local asset is well worth it, and you can enjoy a drink and a piece of cake while you're there!

Community Fund Awards totalling £465 were made in October:
Marple Carnival 50 50 Community Fund were proud to present donations of £155 to each of 3 local groups.
The pictures below show Sharon, from Mellor Country House, Brian, from Dragon Miniature Railway at Dobbies Garden Centre, and some of the volunteers from Friends of Etherow all receiving their donations from Community Fund organiser Kevin Murray.

Numbers were drawn by a lady called Penny Ford, who was quietly enjoying her lunch in All Things Nice.

Prizes totalling £125 were won in the August 50 50 club prize draw.

- 2nd prize was £37.50, won by Janet Dunn.
- 3rd prize was £25, won by Michelle Callaghan, who very kindly also donated her winnings back to the Community Fund.
July 2024 Winners!
Prizes totalling £125 were won in the first Marple Carnival 50 50 Community Fund draw.
- The first prize was £62.50 won by a lovely lady called Ann Lally.
- Julian Revington won the second prize of £37.50, and kindly put £7.50 back into the Community Fund pot.
